My San Francisco Trip

If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, SophieNovaTV you will already have heard about most of my adventures in San Francisco the other weekend. To recap, I booked loads of work, shot with Kat Attack Photography for Rabid Magazine, and spent one day out shooting in the forests and streams near Menlo Park.

I wanted to post some of the images from that day here, as I won't use them all in my portfolio but I absolutely love them and wanted to share them somewhere!

The first three images are by Paindancer Productions.

The rest are the copyright of Natural Light Studios, Inc.

Let me know your favorites :)

Dirty Girls

On the 11th of June I attended the Dirty Show, held at the City Center Motel in Los Angeles. It was a really fun evening, with each Hotel Room being used as an individual Art Gallery, so visitors could roam from room to room to see an assortment of erotic and fetish-inspired art and photography.

Only 10 minutes into my exploration, I was accosted by a fellow Englishman with a Polaroid Camera, and we got some really funny shots of me and fellow model Sha-Lynne posing in the dingy bathroom of one of the rooms.

After a bit more wandering and admiring a ceramic ass candle-holder, a selection of gimp art, and some carved wood vagina pipes, I did a quick interview with the gorgeous Merrie Swain for G4's Attack of the Show. To see my bouncing on a bed in my custom Vaunt Designs latex with Sha and Merrie, just click here : http://www.g4tv.com/videos/53959/Viewer-Army-at-The-Dirty-Show/

It was a really great experience and I hope the show comes back to LA next year, I need to start saving up for some seriously kinky art :)

Crazy Week is Crazy!

And it's still in the early stages!

On Sunday morning I was the first model for Adam Chilson's Shadowplay workshop. The participants were experimenting with the effects of light and shadow on the body, to give a more cinematic quality to the images. I spoke to Adam about what he wanted as far as hair and make-up, and we settled on a 20's inspired look with smokey eyes and dark, defined lips to stand up to the harsh lighting. The workshop was a lot of fun, and it's always nice to meet new people, so I can't wait for the next one :)

Rebelflowers kindly sent me some of her images from the day which you can see below. You can find more of her work here : http://rebelflowers.deviantart.com/

Next up was an awesome shoot with Danger Ninja! Something somewhere got a little muddled, and I was very surprised to open the door to 4 people arriving instead of one! I had spent all morning getting my hair and make-up ready for the shoot, and Daniel had somehow gotten the message that I required styling assistance, and thoughtfully brought Morgan and Tayler as well as the gorgeous Carrion who twittered about how much she liked my ass :)

We decided on shooting one outfit with my hair and make-up the way it was, then shot with the hair and make-up from Morgan and Tayler, and everyone was happy. I can't wait to see the images from the shoot, everyone was brilliant to work with and there was a wonderful, relaxed, creative vibe that to me, is what a trade shoot is all about.

The next day I had a paid shoot with a photographer from NYC, and then I rushed to get the house cleaned and ready for Destroy Inc's arrival. The next morning I was up bright and early (Ok, 9am) and we shot my custom latex outfit from Vaunt Designs and a gorgeous piece from Mother of London.

Tomorrow I have Awesometographer and Sha-Lynne coming to stay, and on Saturday night I will be attending the Dirty Show in Los Angeles, hopefully to film a short interview for G4. Stay tuned!

Next week I am fully booked with paid shoots, so I'll report back if there's anything left of me in 7 days :)

Happiness is...

Life is just getting better and better right now. I have lots of paid work offers, am traveling again (San Francisco early July, Oklahoma late July, a possible trip to England in August) and will be modeling for 4 workshops over the next month and a half, working with a few photographers on my "wish list", potentially shooting a magazine cover, and am also collaborating with Santa Monica College's Photography Chairman, the legendary Larry Jones, on a coffee table book about... me! Yes, really, me. I'm so excited about this I couldn't just sit on it and say nothing. It's going to probably take over a year to complete, but I'm honored to be asked, and it makes me truly happy to be an official muse.

I met "Jones" a few weeks ago as his wife had booked me for one of the nude workshops he holds for students from Santa Monica College every couple of months. Some of the attendees had never worked with a professional model before, so it was especially thrilling to see them so excited over the results we were getting. Jones took quite a liking to me, and despite the hail and rain, we all had a wonderful time shooting up in the mountains and odd patches of farmland on the way back down. I've already been booked for the next two workshops, and continue to be inspired by the students I work with. I only hope that I can continue inspire them right back.

Some recent additions have been made to the apartment, including a deer shoulder mount named "Darwin" and luxurious satin bedding for glamour and boudoir photography. I also purchased a huge softbox and hope to use it soon for my custom latex shoot.

Meet my new apartment

I am very excited to announce that I have moved into a gorgeous new apartment that will also serve as a shoot space. The building is from the 1920's and was inspired by a French Chateau.

I plan to honor the historical significance of the building and will be decorating in a British Colonial/Victorian Style, perfect for Steam Punk shoots, and classic art nudes. I have already sourced some antique chairs and trunks, and plan to add more vintage furniture, taxidermy, plants and a four poster bed soon, along with lots of paintings, mirrors, fabrics and shooting props.

Below are some recent images, I'll add more as I progress with the decorating. The apartment consists of a large living/dining area, a long hallway, a guest room (perfect for housing traveling models and photographers!) a bathroom with a recessed bath, a huge master bedroom with 19ft vaulted ceilings and a window seat, hardwood floors in the majority of the rooms, and gray/neutral walls.

There is excellent natural light, but photography equipment and lighting will also be available for those using the space. I've already had three very successful shoots here, and I'm only just done unpacking!

Let me know what you think, and any suggestions are always appreciated. I will be including the space with my standard modeling rate.

Tickles and Rubber Ponies

Life has been crazy. Lots of decisions to be made (and some being made for me) big changes and ups and downs. It looks as though I will be moving out of my home within the next few weeks and moving in with some very good friends, and my life is about to get bi-coastal with lots more trips to New York, PA, and New England planned.

Luckily I'm not intimidated by the mayhem, actually I embrace it. I like new surroundings, and the chance to start from scratch, and I look forward to the improvements that are coming my way.

I took a break for a couple of weeks whilst my good friend Shannon came to visit all the way from Ireland. It was nice to relax and have fun showing her the sights in LA, and to do something unrelated to modelling. I feel refreshed and ready to go again, and have a trip planned to Philly and Baltimore from the 14th - 18th October.

Yesterday I had a great shoot at Esperanza Studios and also met Marco Patino, who kindly snapped a few shots of me in between wardrobe changes. Nikki from Pet and Pony Girls also got in touch and kindly sent me a few images, check out their website here for more photo sets and videos!

Vaunt Designs also wrote to let me know that my custom latex Medical outfit is in the post, so I can't wait to see my concept come to life! Photos and rubber fun will surely follow.

I'm also in this month's issue of Gothic Beauty :)
